Welcome! Pull up a stool and have a mug of whatever pleases you.

Please don't just sit there, though... jump right in! There's lots to see and do here. A good place to start is the Guild Charter. Also, the "Important Info" link will take you to the list of all things important. And that's important. :-)

Don't be afraid to speak up with comments, questions or an amusing anecdote or two.

Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Gallifreyan Keep. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Forum Access and Account Creation

    1. These forums are here to provide you with a friendly environment where you can discuss ideas, give game play advice, role-play, and converse about any other aspects of Neverwinter with other players. Community forums are at their best when participants treat their fellow posters with respect and courtesy. Therefore, we ask that you conduct yourself in a civilized manner when participating in these forums.

The guidelines and rules listed below explain what behavior is expected of you and what behavior you can expect from other community members. Note that the following guidelines are not exhaustive, and may not address all manner of offensive behavior. As such, the forum moderators shall have full discretion to address any behavior that they feel is inappropriate. Also, suspension or banishment from the Forum will always result in the same in regard to the in-game Guild. Your access to these forums is a “privilege,” and not a “right.” We reserve the right to suspend your access to these forums at any time for reasons that include, but are not necessarily limited to, your failure to abide by these guidelines.

Every account created on this forum will be approved by the admin or a moderator before it's allowed any posting access. To expedite this process, please utilize the same username here as you do in Neverwinter. For example, if your character name is "The Mad Whacker@stinkyhound", then use "stinkyhound" as your username. The reason for this is that with how Neverwinter is set up with multiple character names on a single account, we can better keep track of everything by using your account name.

Do not impersonate, or attempt to impersonate anyone else in the Guild. The administrator tracks all traffic to the Forum and a record of your IP address is placed in the database when you sign up and/or post. #
  2. General Rules

    1. We reserve the right to evaluate each incident on a case by case basis. The action we take may be more lenient or more severe than those listed.

      Discussing Disciplinary Actions
This category includes creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player, including chat logs and email correspondence between a player and the admin/moderator, and/or creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a character or account on the forums.

      Circumventing a Suspension / Ban
This category includes posting on another account, and/or having someone post on your behalf.

      IMPORTANT
Repeatedly violating any area of the Guild's Terms of Use or Forum Code of Conduct, including the areas detailed above, will often result in permanent banishment from the Forums and Guild.

This policy is not language-restrictive. Language that falls under this policy will always be subject to the repercussions listed, whether it is inappropriate in English or any other language.
The bottom line is that we want the Guild to be a fun and safe environment for all players. While playing Neverwinter and posting on these forums, you will encounter other players who share different experiences and come from vastly different backgrounds. While certain language and images may not be offensive to you, consider the fact that that same language and images may have a completely different effect on someone else. We’ve done everything we can to make this a great environment – now it’s up to you! #
  3. Posting Etiquette

    1. Warning. Your postings on this public forum will become public. Your text will be available to anyone with an internet connection. Not only do you represent yourself to the world (both here and in-game), but you are also representing the Guild.

With that in mind, we are offering handy etiquette that we expect from everyone.

      • Read the forums rules and guidelines before posting for the first time.
      • Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.
      • Use a meaningful title for your thread.
      • Do not use a forum to promote your product, service or business.
      • Be civil. Personal differences should be handled through email or IM and not through posts displayed to everyone.
      • Stay on topic.
      • Ignore spammers. Report them.
      • Do not submit a post that requires readers to download a large attachment. Either explain the attachment or, better yet, provide a link to the information.
      • Use plain text over HTML if you want your post to be readable by everyone.
      • In order to be understood by most people, use correct spelling, grammar and avoid slang unless you know the word or phrase will be understood by other members.
      • Do not double post (post the same message twice in one thread) or cross post (place the same message across several forums).
      • Act in a give and take manner; help others as often as or more than you ask for help.
      • Do not use all caps or SHOUT in your posts. In addition, one exclamation point is enough.
      • When replying to a post, do not quote more from the previous post than you have to.
      • Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion.
      • Do not use someone else’s thread for a private conversation.
      • Most forums prohibit warez, cracks or illegal downloading of software and similar topics.
      • Watch your sense of humor, posts may be read by people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.
      • Do not use a huge and annoying signature, a modest signature is fine, moderators may remove large ones anyway.
      • Do not post any information that you want private. Posts should not contain personal, identifiable information or content embarrassing to others.
      • Do not post content that violates a copyright.
      • Do not post ”empty” or useless responses, such as just ”lol” or ”cool.” Only post responses when you have something to contribute.
      • Write concisely and do not ramble.
      • Do not use words like ”urgent” or ”important” in your subject line, be patient.
      • Do not chastise newbies.
